Bio
Dr Joe Fitchett is Senior Adviser at the Institut Pasteur de Dakar, Senegal, advancing a pipeline of medical countermeasures for outbreaks developed and manufactured as part of a newly established Dakar biotechnology hub. These include the first Measles/Rubella and Marburg vaccines and Measles rapid test for production in Africa.
Joe is also engaged in the Institutional transformation of IPD, an African Global Health Institute uniquely positioned to serve as a First Detector, First Responder to ensure the Last Mile is the First Signal for outbreaks, linking the latest technologies to the realities in our communities.
