Bio

PhD in Biochemistry from the Institute of Cancer Research, UK which focused on Head and Neck cancers, author of many global publications in key scientific journals My interest and passion about the impact of science on human health led me to work in Clinical Development in the pharmaceutical industry, driving the conversion of the best molecules into truly head-turning future medicines, targeted to address the greatest unmet patient needs. For the last 10 years I have been working in R&D for GlaxoSmithKline, broadening beyond the clinical space into a focus on organisational development and engagement and driving enterprise-wide critical projects including the setting up of innovative private public partnerships. Currently I am a Senior Strategy Director within R&D, ensuring we grow strong visionary leadership and organisational engagement with as we deliver GSK’s strongest pipeline in years is an utmost priority. Providing an external perspective and bringing learnings, connections and strategic input from the outside world is a key aspect of my role. I am extremely proud of working for GSK, and as such I passionate about my personal development and making sure that I can continue to contribute to our commitment to Global Healthcare (for the 5th consecutive year, GSK has been ranked as no.1 in the Access to Medicines Index, and in 2016 Fortune Magazine also placed GSK as no.1 of companies that are changing the world).
