Bio
I am a health advocate and civic leader with a keen interest in the reduction of preventable deaths. I have over 3 years of experience working on social impact projects and initiatives in Nigeria covering education, health and inequalities.
Not finding an organisation with a focus on healthy lifestyle and wellbeing in my proximity, I started The Wellbeing Initiative, a community of young minds advocating for healthy lifestyle choices, better policies and strengthened health systems towards reducing the burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
I am a graduate of Physiology with subsequent training in Genomics, Global Health and Data Science. Currently, I am a graduate student of Pharmacology and Therapeutics with a research interest in understanding the development of essential hypertension in blacks.
I am a Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) RLC Fellow and a Next Gen Champion for NCDs with participation in different national, regional and global teams.
I continue to initiate discussions and policies that will lead to innovations for better Health.
