About Roslyn

I am a…

Global soul, Idea generator, Journalist, Producer, Writer/Editor

Bio

I trained as a sociologist and journalist and after a brief stint as a media adviser to the New Zealand government moved to broadcast news, working for the BBC then TVNZ. In my 20s, I produced NZ's leading nightly television debate show and the nation's prime ministerial debates. I then moved to Europe and worked as Executive Producer and Head of Production for various TV companies in London and Rome. In 2006, CNBC invited me to establish its strategic content division - a Branded Content development and production unit under the CNBC International umbrella. And after five years there I left to launch my own Strategic Content agency called Alpha Grid.

I'm passionate about

Everybody's happiness, my family, my work, my friends, my health...

An idea worth spreading

I have four. 1. Passion is underrated. 2. We don’t change with age as much as we think we do. Reading my past diaries taught me this. 3. We go through life pretending we’re seeking truth while gaining comfort from institutions and rituals that rely on lies. I find this odd but think maybe it’s the secret to happiness. And 4. If we continue progressing towards gender parity at the rate we’re progressing now we’ll have equality by around the year 4000 apparently. I find this depressing but I have faith we’ll beat 4000, which will make the workplace increasingly exciting.
