His entrepreneurial journey began at just 16, when he founded Rawand Printing House. Since then, he has founded and led multiple initiatives across business, youth development, events, and community engagement, building strong connections between the private sector, institutions, international organizations, and emerging leaders.
Today, Rawand’s work focuses on business development, entrepreneurship, management, AI, youth empowerment, and international collaboration. He is particularly interested in connecting with global organizations, entrepreneurs, investors, innovators, and institutions to exchange knowledge, develop partnerships, and create new opportunities in Kurdistan, Iraq, and internationally.
At the heart of his work is a simple belief: the most valuable ideas are those that create opportunities for others and turn connections into lasting impact.
I'm passionate about
As a TEDx organizer, I’m passionate about discovering ideas that challenge conventional thinking, inspire action, and have the potential to create positive change. I believe one powerful idea, shared with the right audience, can influence a person, transform a community, and sometimes shape the future.
An idea worth spreading
The most successful leaders don’t just build businesses—they build opportunities for others to grow.

The TED story
My TEDx journey began at the end of 2016, driven by a passion for ideas, storytelling, and creating a platform for voices from our region.
A defining moment came in 2018, when I had the opportunity to step onto the TED stage in Palm Springs US. That experience inspired me to think bigger and strengthened my commitment to bringing meaningful ideas from Kurdistan and Iraq to a global audience.
A decade later, I am still continuing this journey with even greater passion and ambition—discovering ideas worth spreading, connecting people, empowering new voices, and building a stronger community around ideas that can create meaningful change.
