Be open and aware when those opportunities for greatness show up disguised as challenges! I started 5 companies and wrote 3 plays simply by being open to the possibility of doing good and creating greatness with others when the odds (disguised challenges) seemed insurmountable!

I learned about TED a few years ago through a friend and I was moved by the generosity of the human spirit in action. Once the videos of the talks started to stream on the Internet I was even more excited for the future of the human race. I was determined to spread the idea of TED wherever I went and whoever I came into contact with. I can easily count at least a 1000 people in the past few years that I have personally encouraged to check out TED's talks. As a result, lots of minds (including that if my two young children) have been opened to the possibilities that exist for the human race. I will be attending TED for the first time and I can hardly wait!
