Amanda Thrower

Amanda is Manager of Marketing for PEAR Sports, a new company that gives all people access to personalized training via biofeedback, world-class coaching to lose weight, get motivated, or run a race. She has also served as a genetic sales associate for Pathway Genomics and also as a Data Sales Representative and Fixed Income Analyst for Bloomberg L.P. in New York. Thrower is Co-chairman of The La Jolla Foundation, Inc. (www.lajollafoundation.org) where she oversees the nonprofit initiatives to promote peace through sport in the world's warzones, finding and supporting the next generation of Einsteins and help new non-profit ideas get started. A triathlete and runner, Grant is an avid believer in health and fitness. She enjoys pilates, adventure travel, interactive media, new technology, and writing. Born and raised in Michigan, Thrower now resides in La Jolla, CA. She has a BA in English Literature and a specialization in Business Law from Michigan State University.
