Daena Neto

Daena Menezes da Costa Neto, born in São Tomé and Príncipe (STP), holds a MA in African Studies: Management of Economic and Social Development. Interested in bilateral and multilateral negotiations for some time now, over the past few years, has been travelling and collaborating with several institutions (European Union organs, United Nations agencies and private sector companies) trying to identify the strategies used to achieve their goals. Thus, as diplomat was awarded a Chevening Scholarship to be trained in Diplomacy under the Foreign Service Program from Oxford University/United Kingdom. Daena, as a huge believer in the power of education and of raising awareness on the best people can do inside their own communities to help develop their lives and their countries, Daena is part of the team that organizes TEDxSaotome since 2013 and seeks to help inspire saotomeans to promote their projects overseas, using all kind of platforms, media as well as social media to widespread the ideas. She is completely marvelled with the role technology have in their endeavours, as TEDxSaotome team is spreaded in the world (Portugal, United Kingdom, Estonia, Sao Tome and Principe) and still has a high level of performance.
