My first English lesson was to learn by heart all the irregular verbs and I hated that. Then the next lessons were learning 50 states and Capitals of America, reading Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland,... I gradually figured out I was fascinated by this kind of language. | I grew up in a small town trying to find a ticket to the gifted high school then one of the most reputable university in Ho Chi Minh City, but I still considered myself mediocre. I was shy and withdrawn. In young age, my only strength was English which was downplayed at school. Who knows that would be the great opportunity for me to start off my TEDx story. | I met Bao Khanh and Thanh Tu to establish UAH English Club in 2018, then for the first time ever, all of our members introduced TEDx format to UAH community in our Black Mirror event. That moment I know I belong to something bigger. Since then, I have worked with a lot of inspirational people from designer, activist to architect, singer, producer,...Some are nerds, some are geeks, some are avant-garde. Each speaker is like an asteroid who guide you to visit their realm of extraordinary. I realize that my life have greatly enriched by those charisma. Thanks to TEDx UAH, I not only recognize my own potential but also meet amazing personalities.
