My name is Salomé and I'm a designer living in Amsterdam. Officially I would have to call myself a product and interaction designer, since that is what I am educated to do, but I don't believe design is a thing you only do at work. The wonderful thing about being a designer is that you can do it all the time! And it does not even have to be something tangible. Problem solver might therefor be an even better description, since I also like to work on strategic challenges. And after you've come up with a good idea, this has to be communicated in an understandable and enjoyable way. This is why I'm fascinated with graphical design as well. Luckily I get to do all these things at Arup, where I've been working for 2,5 years now, after I left Philips.

getting to the heart of a problem or question: if you don't know what you have to solve, you will never find the right solution.
