Bio
Geoff Shelton is a filmmaker that enjoys working on projects that combine art and storytelling for the benefit of humanity. His work has been featured at LACMA and dozens of film festivals across the U.S. His documentary work with rock band OKGo has been featured in the Netflix doc “Gravity is Just a Habit” as well as spots on CNN, ABC News and the websites for SPIN, TIME, Rolling Stone, NPR and The White House.
He is coming to TED with OK Go this year to present a workshop around their brand new educational website "OK Go Sandbox". OK Go Sandbox provides free educational videos and lesson plans for teachers across the world to tap into the creativity and ingenuity of OK Go's music videos as entry points into explorations in physics, engineering, math and more.
Apart from his work with OK Go he works regularly as a director, cinematographer and editor on various commercial and artistic film projects. He is currently in development on a documentary TV series he’s created that focuses on women in the music industry.
In between film projects he writes for Tom Tom Magazine, a quarterly feminist music publication focusing on female-identified and non-binary drummers and beat makers across the world. He also freelances as an authenticator of Salvador Dalí graphic works for the Salvador Dalí Archives.
