I used to be the international project director of NetEase Online Open Courses, I helped with promotion of TED content in China and I was invited to attend TED conference 2016 in Vancouver. After I had left NetEase, I continued with finding and promoting ideas that are with sharing with my own talk show called AllenTalk. It's Chinese name is Rao Shun Ying Yu Fang Tan. AllenTalk ( previously named A-Talk) is an English-speaking interview show created by Allen Rao who’s the former global business director at Netease Online Open Courses, the first and also the biggest online open education platform in China. AllenTalk’s much influenced and inspired TED’s slogan – “Ideas Worth Spreading”. On AllenTalk, Mr. Allen Rao often spontaneously video-interviews distinguished people from around the world to promote their ideas and stories that are worth spreading aiming to build a bridge to connect China to the world and the world to China. So far, almost 100 prominent people who are mainly professors, experts and celebrities in different walks of life from more than 30 different countries have been on the show. AllenTalk videos can be found on all the major video websites and apps in China. The total VV of AllenTalk show has reached more than 80 million in China. AllenTalk videos are aired and often promoted on NetEase, Jinri Toutiao, YikeTalks, Pear Videos, Mango TV, HuaWei Videos etc.
