Holly Cohen is an Occupational Therapist and Assistive Technology Practitioner with 18 years of experience. She is the co-founder of DIYAbility. DIYAbility is an organization focused on the use and creation of technology solutions for assistive technology. DIYAbility has received not only accolades for its mission, it was selected as one on NYC's Next Top Makers in 2015. Holly started and is the program manager of the Assistive Technology and Driving Rehabilitation at NYULMC. She is also an adjunct professor at New York University in the School of Steinhardt's Occupational Therapy program. Holly is a Certified Driving Rehabilitation Specialist and holds a specialty certification in environmental modifications. She believes that people with and without disabilities can be empowered when using the correct technology; individuals with disabilities should be active participants in creating their own solutions. Holly has spoken at national conferences about assistive technology and improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities through technology use.
