About Hamna

I am a…

Artist, Explorer, Muslim, Photographer, Student

Bio

A psychology and computer science student pursuing A Levels, with a genuine love for art, photography, technology and exploring new ideas. I enjoy turning creativity into projects, learning through new experiences, and finding ways to use my skills for meaningful causes and communities.

I'm passionate about

I'm passionate about creativity, psychology, art (crafts, sketching, painting, diys), photography, and learning about people. I love exploring ideas that connect different fields and finding creative ways to turn those ideas into something meaningful. I'm also interested in community work, social impact and creating opportunities for young people to participate, lead and make a difference.

An idea worth spreading

most young people don't need to wait until they're older to make a difference. We often underestimate what students can create when they're given the freedom to explore, collaborate and take action and they're always underseen. Whether it's technology, art, community service or simply starting a conversation, small ideas can become meaningful change when young people are encouraged to act on them.

Areas of expertise

Art, Community Engagement, Computer Science, Content Creation, Creative Thinking, Digital Marketing, Photography, Project Management, Psychology, Social Media, Technology, Web Development

The TED story

My journey with TED began with curiosity. I've always been drawn to ideas that make me look at ordinary things differently, and TED gave me a space where curiosity, creativity and meaningful conversations come together. As a student, I'm still figuring out the areas I want to explore, but that's exactly what makes the experience exciting. Being part of TEDxGulgasht has given me the opportunity to experience what happens behind the scenes of an ideas driven community, meet different people and contribute as part of the delegate servicing team. I hope to keep exploring, learning and creating, eventually using those experiences to build ideas and projects that can have an impact beyond myself.

Things you might not know

Sketching. I can turn a blank page into something surprisingly detailed. I love capturing moments, expressions and tiny details with nothing but a pencil. For me, sketching is less about drawing and more about learning to truly see.. ‎What I like most about this is that it has taught me to slow down and actually observe. It makes me notice details that I might otherwise overlook, and I think that way of seeing the world influences how I approach photography, art, people, and even the ideas I'm curious about.
