I am a finance student, speaker curator, and strategic thinker fascinated by how decisions shape outcomes. My interests lie at the intersection of finance, business strategy, human behavior, and leadership—understanding why organizations succeed, why markets move, and how individuals create lasting impact. Through my work with TEDxLakeheadU, I have had the opportunity to engage with entrepreneurs, innovators, academics, and changemakers from diverse fields. These conversations have reinforced a belief that great ideas rarely emerge from a single discipline; they are often found where different perspectives collide. Whether studying capital markets, evaluating business models, or curating speakers, I am driven by curiosity and a desire to understand the mechanisms that create value in both organizations and communities.

I'm passionate about understanding how value is created and sustained over time. This curiosity has led me to explore everything from corporate finance and capital markets to leadership, behavioral psychology, entrepreneurship, and organizational strategy. I enjoy studying why certain companies become industry leaders, why some ideas gain traction while others disappear, and how incentives shape human behavior. Beyond business, I am passionate about meaningful conversations with people who think differently. Some of the most valuable lessons I've learned have come not from textbooks, but from discussions with founders, educators, athletes, researchers, and community leaders who have challenged my perspective on success and impact.

We often celebrate intelligence, talent, and expertise, yet many of the world's biggest failures occur not because people lacked knowledge, but because they stopped questioning their assumptions. The ability to challenge what appears obvious is one of the most valuable skills in business, investing, leadership, and life. Markets change, industries evolve, and social norms shift because someone was willing to ask a question others ignored. Curiosity is not simply a personality trait—it is a strategic advantage. The people and organizations that consistently outperform are often those willing to re-examine what everyone else accepts as true.

My connection with TED began through a fascination with ideas that reshape how people think. As a curator with TEDxLakeheadU, I've had the privilege of speaking with individuals from vastly different backgrounds—scientists, entrepreneurs, educators, executives, and community leaders. What surprised me most was not how different they were, but how often they shared a common trait: an ability to see opportunities where others saw limitations. These conversations reinforced my belief that innovation is rarely the result of isolated genius. More often, it emerges from curiosity, collaboration, and the willingness to challenge conventional wisdom. TED has become meaningful to me because it creates a platform where powerful ideas can transcend industries, cultures, and disciplines. It reminds us that the next breakthrough may come from a conversation we have not yet had.

People don't know I'm surprisingly good at identifying patterns across completely different fields. Whether I'm analyzing a company, evaluating a speaker, studying a market trend, or discussing leadership, I naturally look for the underlying principles that connect seemingly unrelated ideas. It's a skill that has helped me in finance, speaker curation, and relationship building. I enjoy asking questions that uncover the deeper story beneath the surface and finding connections that others might not immediately notice.
