I am a Business student with two years of International Business and a strong interest in the operations and management of events. I was part of the operations team for TEDxTUDublin 2026. I worked mostly on solving problems before they could arise and making an enjoyable event for everyone in attendance. This experience taught me fast-paced problem solving and improved communication with large teams of different departments

Encouraging people to step outside what feels familiar and be open to new experiences. I find real value in hearing different perspectives and learning from people’s stories, as it challenges how I think and helps me grow. I try to carry that mindset into everything I do, whether it’s meeting new people, taking on new opportunities, or pushing myself into unfamiliar situations. Being involved in environments like TEDx has reinforced how powerful it can be to share ideas and learn from others in a meaningful way.

My TEDx experience was shaped by being part of the operations team and gaining a real behind-the-scenes perspective on how such an impactful event comes together. Being involved in the logistics and coordination allowed me to see firsthand the level of planning, teamwork, and attention to detail required to deliver a seamless experience. At the same time, I was inspired by the speakers and the wide range of important topics they explored, many of which introduced me to ideas and perspectives I hadn’t ever even considered. Observing how each talk was brought to life reinforced the power of sharing meaningful ideas. The experience not only strengthened my interest in operations but also deepened my appreciation for the influence events like TEDx can have.

Through my experience with TEDx, I developed a strong ability to manage logistics, coordinate timelines, and adapt quickly in high pressure situations. I’m naturally organised and detail oriented, which helps me anticipate issues before they arise. I’m also confident supporting speakers in the moment, helping them stay calm and prepared. I enjoy working in fast-paced environments where I can contribute to creating a seamless and positive experience for everyone involved.
