Bio

Hi, I'm Shivang, a Computer Science student at SRM University Delhi-NCR and an aspiring software developer with a passion for technology, innovation, and ideas that create meaningful impact. I believe that the right conversation at the right time can inspire people to think differently and take action. As the Organizer of TEDxSRMUniversity Sonepat, I'm working to build a platform where students, educators, entrepreneurs, and changemakers can share ideas worth spreading. I'm particularly interested in software development, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship, and I enjoy building solutions to real-world problems while constantly learning and growing. Through TEDx, I hope to bring together diverse voices, spark curiosity, and encourage people to see the world from new perspectives.

An idea worth spreading

The most powerful changes don't always begin with groundbreaking inventions—they often begin with a shift in perspective. When we challenge our assumptions, listen to diverse voices, and remain curious, we open the door to innovation, empathy, and meaningful progress. By embracing different perspectives, we can solve problems more creatively, bridge divides, and inspire positive change in our communities.

The TED story

My journey with TED began long before I applied to organize a TEDx event. Like many people, I found myself watching TED Talks that challenged my thinking, introduced me to new ideas, and showed me how a single story could inspire thousands of people around the world. Those talks made me realize that great ideas aren't limited by age, background, or profession—they can come from anyone with the courage to share them. As a Computer Science student, I've always been curious about technology, innovation, and solving real-world problems. Over time, I realized that technology alone isn't enough; meaningful progress happens when people from different backgrounds come together to exchange ideas and perspectives. That realization inspired me to bring TEDx to my university. I want to create a platform where students, researchers, entrepreneurs, artists, and changemakers can share experiences that challenge assumptions, spark curiosity, and encourage others to think differently. My goal isn't just to host an event—it's to build a culture where ideas are openly shared, meaningful conversations begin, and people leave inspired to make a positive impact in their communities. For me, TEDx is an opportunity to connect people through ideas, because one conversation can change a mindset, and one idea can change a life.
