Currently serving as the Co-Lead for TEDxLokoja, Chidera is committed to bringing the global culture of ideas worth spreading to Lokoja by connecting thinkers, creatives, and professionals through conversations that challenge limitations and encourage practical change. With experience coordinating initiatives, managing teams, and developing partnerships, Chidera believes that progress begins when individuals choose to start with what they have and improve consistently. Driven by curiosity and a desire to create multiple paths for success, Chidera is continuously exploring opportunities in technology, digital skills, and entrepreneurship as tools for long-term independence and growth. I am passionate about helping people expand how they think about their possibilities. I believe exposure to the right ideas can shift direction, build confidence, and unlock new opportunities. I am particularly interested in initiatives that equip young people with practical skills, access to information, and environments that encourage innovation and self-development. I am also passionate about creating multiple streams of opportunity through technology, creativity, and collaboration. I believe independence grows when individuals learn how to identify value, solve problems, and adapt to change. Through leadership and community-driven initiatives, I am interested in contributing to spaces where people feel motivated to improve their mindset, develop useful skills, and take steps toward meaningful goals.

Many people delay progress because they believe they need perfect conditions before they begin. The truth is that clarity often comes after action, not before it. Starting with limited resources does not limit potential; it strengthens creativity, resilience, and the ability to recognize opportunities others overlook. The idea worth spreading is that progress is not reserved for those with advantages, but for those willing to begin, learn, adjust, and continue. When individuals understand that small steps can evolve into meaningful achievements, they begin to take ownership of their growth and future. Starting where you are is not settling; it is positioning yourself to move forward with intention.

I initially discovered TEDxLokoja because I wanted to apply as a speaker. While looking into it, I realized the event was close to not happening due to the lack of an active organizing team and limited time to prepare. Instead of walking away, I decided to step in and help move things forward. I offered to support the execution of the event despite the tight timeline and challenges involved. Gradually, I helped bring together a small but committed team willing to contribute their skills and time. Now, serving as Co-Lead, I’m part of the team working behind the scenes to ensure TEDxLokoja becomes a meaningful and well-executed platform for ideas worth spreading.

People often do not immediately see my ability to identify opportunities and connect ideas in ways that create practical value. I naturally think about how projects can grow, how resources can be maximized, and how small initiatives can evolve into bigger platforms. I am also good at bringing structure to ideas and helping people move from intention to execution. I pay attention to details that influence outcomes and I enjoy improving systems so that processes become more efficient. I value learning continuously and I am always exploring ways to position myself and others for better possibilities.
