I'm passionate about
The integrity of the word. I feel easy acess to tools has made it possible for a word or a thought to be to be used even when the user has no context of the word or the thought. The communication in that sense loses integrity because the reader ends up making an estimation of the writer which is not authentic. It is ironic that in the age of communication , the lead player is sabotaged. As an English teacher I find myself working backwards- for the students the word comes first.... so honest use has to be built.
An idea worth spreading
The impact of the context being virtual ,education being customised, work being mechanized the world being polarized and humanity being de-sensitised.

The TED story
Heard my first Ted Talk several years back- Do schools kill creativity? by Sir Ken Robinson. Truth be told,I delightfully chanced upon it and was drawn to it as a person who believes in the tremendous power of the creative arts. Apart from the insight and the advice it did give me a few satisfying laughs.
Now I use it in class to prepare the students for an essay paper...so it's largely for school.
