About Nikkie

Bio

Dr. Nikkie Randhawa is a Vancouver-based, dual board certified neurologist, educator, and founder of Cephala MD, where she is reimagining neurologic care through a model that unites scientific precision with a deeply human approach to healing. After more than two decades immersed in neuroscience, her work has evolved beyond diagnosis alone toward a broader mission: helping patients and families understand the nervous system in a way that fosters clarity, empowerment, and resilience. Her clinical and thought leadership focus on brain health, neuroplasticity, and the science of brain resilience, with particular interest in how education, somatosensory awareness, and proactive wellness strategies can help people navigate neurologic illness with greater agency and connection. Her work bridges clinical neurology, education, and community-building, with a focus on making neuroscience feel not only intellectually accessible, but personally transformative. Shaped by both professional experience and personal loss in her own family, she speaks to a growing need in medicine: to move from a purely reactive model of care toward one that restores meaning, agency, and possibility in the face of illness. This shift continues to inform her commitment to building spaces where medicine is not only expert and evidence-based, but also relational, restorative, and empowering. Through her clinic, public speaking, and collaborative work, Nikkie is helping advance a more proactive and compassionate vision of neurology—one that honors the brain not only as an organ of disease, but as the complex system of adaptation, healing, and human possibility.
