Ana Delaunay Caperta

Ana D. Caperta is an Assistant Professor at the Higher Institute of Agronomy (ISA). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering (1993) from ISA, part of the Technical University of Lisbon (UTL), and a Master’s degree in Crop Production (specialising in Plant Breeding, 1995), ISA-UTL, a postgraduate qualification in Biodiversity and Plant Conservation (1996) from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, Greece, and a PhD in Biology (2003, ISA-UTL). She did a Training in Gestalt Psychotherapy (2009-2014). Her main areas of scientific activity are Plant Biology, Cell Biology, Plant Genetic Resources and Conservation. She began her teaching career in higher education in 2001, focusing primarily on the three cycles of study in the areas of Plant Biology, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology and Plant Breeding. Since 2019, she has been the tutor responsible for supporting students with special educational needs at ISA, coordinator of the ISA Commission for Equality, Inclusion and Non-Discrimination (CIGI) (2022–2025 and a member of the ISA Ethics Committee. She represents ISA in the University of Lisbon Network for Gender Equality, Inclusion and Non-Discrimination (RIIND) and in the Support Network for Students with Special Educational Needs (Rede NEE-ULisboa).
