Bio

Tamela Gill Davis is a devoted humanitarian, entrepreneur, and community leader whose work continues to expand in both impact and reach. Known for her heart for service and authentic leadership, Tamela is the creative force behind The F Word platform and the founder of the F Word Food Truck, where she blends her passion for food, fellowship, and storytelling to bring people together and build community. Alongside her husband, NFL veteran Demario Davis, Tamela co-founded the Devoted Dreamers Foundation, an organization committed to empowering youth and developing the next generation of leaders through mentorship, education, and holistic support. Together, they are also leaders within Stand Together’s Philanthropic Locker Room, a collaborative community of athletes and their families focused on driving meaningful social impact and advancing leadership through service. In her many roles—homeschooling mother, certified life coach, motivational speaker, and host of the "Tea with Tamela" podcast—Tamela is deeply committed to inspiring others to live with purpose and authenticity. Her message is rooted in faith, resilience, and transparency, as she openly shares her personal journey to encourage and uplift those navigating their own challenges. Married since 2012, Tamela and Demario are proud parents to six children. Together, they balance family life between Nashville and New Orleans, leading with intention, faith, and a shared commitment to service. Tamela’s steady presence and vision continue to anchor both her family and the communities she serves. The F Word was born out of Tamela’s desire to cultivate deeper connection through faith, family, and food. Through this platform and her broader work, she continues to create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered—building a lasting legacy rooted in love, impact, and community.

At the core of her work is a genuine desire to see people fully step into who they are created to be—confident, whole, and equipped to navigate life’s challenges. Through her leadership as an entrepreneur and co-founder of the Devoted Dreamers Foundation alongside her husband, Demario Davis, Tamela is committed to creating intentional spaces where people feel seen, valued, and inspired to grow. Her passion is especially rooted in uplifting youth and strengthening families, believing that transformation begins in the home and extends into communities. She is dedicated to equipping the next generation with not only practical tools and resources, but also with a strong sense of identity, faith, and purpose. Through mentorship, storytelling, and meaningful connection—often centered around food, fellowship, and shared experiences—Tamela creates environments that foster healing, encouragement, and belonging. Driven by both compassion and conviction, Tamela’s work reflects her belief that true impact happens when people are empowered to walk confidently in their purpose. She is committed to building legacy-driven change, cultivating hope, and inspiring others to lead lives marked by intention, service, and lasting generational impact.

An idea worth spreading

“You don’t have to be perfect to be powerful—you just have to be present.” Tamela can speak to the pressure so many people feel to have it all together before they show up—as parents, leaders, spouses, or individuals pursuing purpose. Through her own journey, she can challenge that mindset and share that true impact doesn’t come from perfection, but from consistency, vulnerability, and simply being present in the moments that matter most. She can highlight how showing up—especially in the everyday, unseen moments—is what builds trust, shapes identity, and creates lasting influence. Whether it’s in motherhood, marriage, or mentorship, presence creates connection, and connection is what leads to transformation. This idea invites people to release the pressure of perfection and instead embrace the power they already have—to show up as they are, right where they are—and trust that it’s enough to make a difference.

The TED story

Tamela Gill Davis’ story is one of faith, resilience, and a deep commitment to purpose—shaped not by perfection, but by perseverance. Behind her roles as a mother of six, entrepreneur, and co-founder of the Devoted Dreamers Foundation alongside her husband, Demario Davis, is a woman who has walked through seasons that required strength, surrender, and an unwavering trust in God. For Tamela, life has never been about titles—it has always been about impact. Her journey has been marked by moments of stretching and refinement, where she learned that true growth often comes in the unseen, everyday decisions to keep showing up for her family, her calling, and her community. Navigating the demands of motherhood, marriage, and purpose-driven work, she discovered that authenticity—not perfection—is what truly connects and transforms lives. Out of these experiences, Tamela built what she now calls her “F Word” philosophy: Faith, Family, Football and Food. What began as a personal outlet has grown into a platform for connection and healing, where she uses storytelling, shared experiences, and community to remind others that they are not alone in their journeys. Whether around a table, through mentorship, or in conversation, Tamela creates spaces where people feel safe to be seen, heard, and restored. Her work today reflects a calling much greater than herself. Through the Devoted Dreamers Foundation, she pours into the next generation—especially youth and families who need guidance, support, and belief in their potential. She is passionate about helping others understand that their past does not define them, and that purpose is often found in the very places they once felt broken. Tamela’s story is still being written, but her message is clear: when you lead with faith, stay grounded in family, and create space for connection, you can transform not only your own life—but the lives of others.
