About Annamaria
Bio
I’m Annamaria, an English teacher at Liceo M. Mazzarello in Turin, where I love bringing language to life and helping students explore ideas with curiosity and creativity.
Beyond the classroom, I’m an aspiring writer, drawn to stories that capture the little moments that make life meaningful. Writing, for me, is a way to understand both myself and the world around me.
I’m also a mother of three young boys and wife to an “aspiring footballer" borrowed by engineering, navigating a joyful mix of chaos and creativity every day. I love reading, watching films that make me think or smile, and baking sweets that tell stories of family and simple pleasures.
As a TEDxYouth co-organizer, I’m passionate about creating spaces where young voices can be heard and their ideas shared. I believe every story, big or small, deserves to be told, and that inspiration often comes from life’s smallest details.
My every day motto is "perfection does not exist" :)
I'm passionate about
I embrace creative and educational approaches both at work and in everyday life. People’s stories have always inspired me to write or draw, imagining new perspectives or different endings. I believe that being a teacher and a mother is a daily opportunity to learn, and that the brightest lessons often come from young people themselves.
An idea worth spreading
One idea I’m excited to support is not just learning how to deliver a TED talk, but also designing teaching approaches that use TED talks as educational resources, for example helping students develop content knowledge, project-based skills and confidence in public speaking.
