I am a proud Miami native who has been a resident of Westchester, Florida for over 24 years. I am is a devoted wife of more than 35 years and the proud mother of three remarkable young adults. Family is at the heart of my life, and I cherish time spent traveling, gathering together, and enjoying family board games. My professional journey began in banking and finance, but for the past 16 years I have dedicated myself to the field of education. At Miami Coral Park Senior High School, I have served in several impactful roles, including Community Liaison, Registrar, and currently, College Advisor. Each position has strengthened my commitment to supporting students both academically and personally. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Carlos Albizu University, which has been a valuable foundation in my work with students. Passionate about empowering young minds, I am deeply committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, guidance, and support. I affectionately refer to myself as the “Coral Park version of Home Depot”, equipped with the tools students need to build their futures. Known for my keen attention to detail and analytical mindset, I thrive in navigating complex situations and providing thoughtful, individualized solutions. I approach each day with curiosity, purpose, and a genuine love for my school and students. I am a lifelong learner, and value education, growth, and unwavering dedication to student success.

At the core of everything I do are my family and a deep commitment to doing what’s right and helping others.

An idea worth spreading is that mistakes aren’t failures; they’re opportunities to learn, grow, and improve.

My TED story is about my role as a co-organizer for a student-led TED Talk on education at my high school. In addition to co-organizing the event, I serve as the school’s College Advisor, where I support students in shaping their academic futures.

People are usually surprised to learn that I’m good at cooking, embroidery, and speed reading.
