The TED story

My journey with TED began when I realized how powerful ideas can be when they are shared with intention. As an educator and community builder, I’ve spent years working alongside young people and educators who are full of brilliance but often overlooked. I’ve seen how access—to knowledge, technology, and belief—can completely change the direction of a life. Speaking at a TEDx event affirmed something I already believed: that stories rooted in lived experience matter just as much as those told on global stages. TED represents the opportunity to challenge limiting narratives and elevate voices that deserve to be heard. Today, my work continues to center education, robotics, and youth empowerment, with a focus on helping communities author their own futures. My connection to TED is grounded in the belief that when people are given the tools and platform to share ideas, transformation follows—not just for individuals, but for entire communities.
