Bio
I am a curious, determined, and compassionate student who believes that meaningful change begins with taking initiative. As an IB student, I enjoy exploring ideas beyond the classroom, questioning perspectives, and turning my curiosity into action. I have been learning Kathak for over 13 years, an experience that has taught me discipline, patience, resilience and the importance of staying connected to my culture.
I am also deeply passionate about animals and believe that empathy should extend to every living being. This has shaped the way I look at responsibility, kindness, and the impact of our everyday choices. Alongside this, I enjoy taking on leadership roles, organizing initiatives, working with people, and bringing ideas to life.
I see myself as someone who is still learning and growing. I don't believe I have everything figured out, but I value the process of becoming better—learning from mistakes, listening to others, challenging myself, and stepping outside my comfort zone. Through TEDx, I hope to create a platform where young people can share meaningful ideas, question what they have always accepted and realize that they don't need to wait to make an impact.
I'm passionate about
I have always felt a special connection with animals because, unlike us, they cannot use words to ask for help when they are hungry, scared, injured, or alone. Seeing an animal struggle and knowing that it has no way to explain what it needs has always stayed with me. I believe that kindness should extend to every living being, especially those who cannot speak for themselves. I also have my own passion project at school for this known as Pawssibility. My passion for this initiative comes from wanting to turn that feeling of helplessness into action. Even if we cannot change the lives of every animal, I believe that helping one animal, giving it food, safety, or simply showing it kindness, is still a meaningful difference.
An idea worth spreading
Leadership does not begin with a title—it begins with the courage to care, speak up, and take the first step. As young people, we often believe that we need a position, experience, or permission to make a difference. I want to challenge that idea. Leadership can be found in setting boundaries, standing up for what you believe in, bringing people together, and taking responsibility when no one asks you to. The power of leadership lies not in being above others, but in growing with them. Through this idea, I want young people to realise that they don't have to wait until they are older or officially recognised as leaders to create change. Sometimes, all it takes is one person willing to go first.

The TED story
My TEDx journey began with a desire to create a platform where young people could question, connect and take action. As an IB student, a Kathak dancer and someone deeply passionate about animals, I have learned the value of curiosity, discipline, empathy and perseverance. These experiences have shaped how I see leadership, not as having a title, but as having the courage to care and take the first step.
Through TEDx, I want to bring meaningful ideas and diverse voices to my community while encouraging students to see that their ideas matter. For me, TEDx is not just about organising an event; it is about turning curiosity into conversation and conversation into impact.
Things you might not know
I think I am surprisingly good at bringing people and ideas together. I usually the loudest person in a room, but I am also good at noticing what needs to be done, understanding different people and figuring out how to turn a rough idea into something practical. I also think I am good at staying committed once I genuinely care about something, whether it is dance, an initiative, or something I believe can make a difference. It is something I am still developing, but I think my ability to care deeply and then actually put that care into action is one of my strengths.
