Photographer, founder and director of the social enterprise Meridian Raw CIC, social media lead for TEDxExeter and human rights activist.
I'm passionate about
Photography and placing the camera into other peoples hands and helping to discover the freedom of taking pictures. Human and civil rights have been important to me since the 90s and I have volunteered with many human rights groups over the years.
An idea worth spreading
Participatory photography or "Photovoice" has be come the mainstay of my recent work and it is such a versatile and flexible medium that can have a profound impact on individuals and communities.

The TED story
Not so much a TED story, but a TEDxExeter story. I joined the TEDxExeter team in 2011 and was privileged to be part of the first ever TEDx event in Exeter. It has been an inspiring journey to see our event evolve into something which is now a highly valued event within the city and is now seen as a catalyst for bring people and local communities together.
