Dionis Marku

Dionis Marku is a Student Senator at the University of Tirana and a Master’s student in Finance at the Faculty of Economics. Elected with strong support from the student community, he is recognized for his active leadership, organizational skills, and commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for young people. He has led major academic and cultural initiatives, including international student trips, institutional visits, conferences, and development programs that connect Albanian students with global experiences. Beyond his institutional role, Dionis is the founder of DioImpact, a creative and marketing agency that supports businesses and organizations with innovative solutions in branding, consulting, and digital communication. Combining student leadership, project management, and entrepreneurship, Dionis works to inspire young people, strengthen the student community, and expand access to opportunities that help the next generation grow, engage, and lead with purpose.

I’m passionate about empowering young people, creating opportunities for students, connecting communities, and building projects that inspire growth and collaboration. I care deeply about leadership, education, international exchange, and helping the next generation believe in their potential and take action to shape their future.

Young people can transform institutions when they are given trust, responsibility, and real opportunities. My idea is that student leadership should not be symbolic — it should be impactful. When students are empowered to lead projects, organize experiences, build communities, and collaborate internationally, they develop confidence, skills, and a mindset that lasts far beyond university. I believe in creating a culture where every young person can access experiences that expand their world: academic travel, intercultural exchange, leadership roles, and meaningful projects. These opportunities don’t just benefit the individual — they elevate entire communities. My mission is to show that when youth are included, institutions grow; when youth lead, society progresses.

I am currently a co-organizer of a TEDx event at the University of Tirana, where I work with students, speakers, and mentors to create a meaningful platform for ideas and inspiration. Although this is my first direct involvement with the TED community, I am committed to building a space where young people can share their stories, perspectives, and experiences. This TEDx project motivates me to promote voices that deserve to be heard and to help shape an event that connects, educates, and empowers our community.

I’m good at bringing people together, organizing large groups, and turning ideas into practical, well-structured projects. I have a talent for coordinating teams, managing details under pressure, and creating experiences that feel inspiring and meaningful for students. Many people don’t realize how much planning, strategy, and leadership stands behind the activities I organize — but it’s where I excel most.
