Educator/Teacher

Bio

I am an educator and student development professional currently serving as the Supervisor of the A-Level Section at PPSIJC. In my role, I oversee the day-to-day academic and pastoral well-being of students, ensuring they receive the guidance, structure, and support they need to grow and excel. I also serve as the school’s Guidance Counselor, helping students understand their strengths and make informed decisions about universities and career pathways. Holistic student development is at the heart of my work. I play an active role in planning and executing major student-led initiatives such as TEDxYouth@PPSIJC and GCMUN. I work closely with the Examination Officer to manage Cambridge A-Level examinations. My leadership style is rooted in honesty, patience, active listening, and a strong belief in collaboration. This “we approach” allows me to work effectively with students, faculty, and stakeholders to create meaningful impact. I am also involved in sustainable community engagement initiatives, including coordinating projects with Wada women and supporting skill-building opportunities for school drop-out girls through activities like the Children’s Bazaar. These initiatives reflect my commitment to empowering communities and nurturing responsibility among students. I continuously work on enhancing my public speaking, communication, and technological skills, and I plan to pursue further training in career counseling. I am deeply content and motivated in my current role and remain committed to contributing to the growth and excellence of PPSIJC.

An idea worth spreading

Compassionate Leadership Creates Confident Learners. When educators and leaders practice compassion, empathy, and deep listening, students feel safe to express themselves, take risks, and discover who they truly are. Confidence blooms not from pressure, but from being understood. Success grows when students are supported as whole individuals not just as exam takers.

The TED story

I never planned to become the person students run to when they feel lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of their future. But somewhere along the way, between listening to their fears, celebrating their victories, and guiding them through some of the most defining years of their lives, I discovered my purpose. My story is simple: I lead with compassion. Not because it is easy, but because it transforms. Over the years, I learned that academic success doesn’t begin with textbooks it begins with trust. A student does not open a book until they feel safe enough to open up. And it is in those quiet conversations, the ones people rarely see, where real change happens. I’ve watched hesitant, unsure teenagers grow into confident young adults simply because someone believed in them, listened to them, and guided them without judgment. My work has taught me that leadership in education is not about authority it’s about empathy. It’s about creating an environment where students feel understood, valued, and capable of dreaming big. And when that happens, everything else follows: excellence, growth, resilience. This is the idea that shaped me. This is the idea I want to share. Compassionate leadership creates confident learners. My TED story is about the power of listening, the strength of a “we approach,” and the quiet but extraordinary transformation that happens when students realize someone truly sees their potential.

Things you might not know

People often don’t realize that I am good at quietly understanding what students need even before they express it. I have a natural ability to make others feel heard, supported, and confident in themselves. Whether it’s motivating a hesitant learner or bringing a team together, I work behind the scenes with empathy and clarity to create an environment where everyone can grow.
