# My TED Story My TED story didn't begin the day I joined the TEDxYola team. It began much earlier—with a simple desire to help people. For as long as I can remember, I have believed that every person carries within them an idea, a talent, or an experience that has the power to change someone's life. Sometimes, all they need is a platform, an opportunity, or someone who believes in them enough to help their voice be heard. That belief has shaped the way I approach my life and career. Whether I am practising law, building businesses, developing technology, teaching, mentoring, or leading projects, I am ultimately driven by one purpose: to help people grow. When I became part of TEDxYola, I realized I had found a community that shared that same belief. TED's mission, **"Ideas Worth Spreading,"** resonated deeply with me because I have always believed that ideas are among the most powerful forces in the world. Every innovation, movement, institution, and solution began as an idea in someone's mind. When shared, nurtured, and acted upon, ideas become catalysts for transformation. Being part of TEDxYola has taught me that organizing an event is only a small part of the journey. The real work is creating an environment where people feel seen, heard, challenged, and inspired. It is about bringing together diverse voices, fostering meaningful conversations, and encouraging people to leave with a renewed sense of possibility. Through this experience, I have also come to understand that ideas alone are not enough. Ideas need people who are willing to believe in them, refine them, and bring them to life.
