Claire Mao

Claire Mao is a high school student at South Pasadena High School and enjoys public speaking, teaching others, and drawing. She is proud to have been a speaker in the 2024 TEDxSouthPasadenaHigh event, Beyond Boundaries, presenting a speech around the important of body language. Now, Mao is excited to plan for the upcoming 2027 TEDx event occurring at South Pasadena High once again.

Claire Mao is passionate about family, speaking, drawing, traveling, and pen-spinning.

Mao believes the self-knowledge of one's own body language is crucial in today's society, as well as the skills of public speaking and confidence.

In March 2024, Mao made her first TEDx talk in TEDxSouthPasadenaHigh's Beyond Boundaries event. Her talk surrounds the importance of body language and how society can connect with each other more. Currently, Mao is planning the 2027 TEDx event with an amazing team and is excited to see what awaits.
