I’m Abigail Mathews, a 12th-grade student at Amity School, Dubai, with a deep interest in STEM, especially physics and mathematics. I love challenges that push me to think on my feet, which I’ve learnt through participating in several innovation competitions where quick problem-solving and creativity come into play. As Head of the Editorial Board on my student council, I’ve enjoyed creating a platform where students can express their ideas and perspectives freely. Outside academics, I enjoy staying active—whether it’s playing volleyball or joining charity runs to raise awareness for different medical conditions— additionally, my love for animals has led me to volunteer at animal shelters. Through volunteering and community outreach, I’ve developed strong communication skills and a passion for giving back, and being part of TEDxAmity School Dubai Youth gives me the chance to help others share their stories and spark meaningful conversations.
