Bio
With over 21 years of dedicated service in elementary education, Robert Seagraves brings both experience and passion to the classroom. He began his teaching career with four years in fourth grade before finding his true calling in sixth grade, where he has spent the last 17 years inspiring and guiding students through a pivotal stage of their learning.
Robert holds an Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Education, and a K–12 Multiple Subject Credential earned through Sacramento State University (2005). These academic foundations, paired with decades of classroom experience, have equipped him with the skills to meet students where they are and help them grow into confident, capable learners.
His passion for teaching stems from a personal understanding of what it feels like to struggle with belonging and to be underestimated. That journey has shaped his teaching philosophy, which is grounded in three principles: focus, motivation, and effort. He believes that students must first be honest about their abilities, embrace their starting point, and remain disciplined and perseverant as they navigate the challenges of learning.
As an educator, Robert is committed to seeing and nurturing the whole child. Beyond teaching core subjects like reading, writing, and math, he emphasizes self-worth, resilience, and the limitless potential each learner possesses. He strives to plant seeds of confidence and curiosity so his students not only dream big but also believe in their ability to achieve those dreams.
