Bio
I’m Meenakshi Vedala, a Computer Science student with a knack for weaving together creativity and technology. My experiences as a Mental Health Ambassador, a Kuchipudi dancer, and an active member of several student organizations have taught me that curiosity, empathy, and collaboration can go hand in hand.
I thrive on challenges that push me outside my comfort zone, and I love bringing people together to make something meaningful—whether in a club, a classroom, or a community. When I’m not buried in code or brainstorming initiatives, you’ll find me journaling, sketching, or exploring artistic outlets that keep my imagination alive.
My journey so far has been about experimenting—whether that’s diving into C, C++, and IoT, working on initiatives that amplify voices, or pursuing my dream of becoming a machine learning specialist in fashion, where innovation and creativity merge in exciting new ways.
I'm passionate about
I am passionate about exploring the spaces where technology meets creativity, especially how AI can reimagine multiple facets in everyday life, turning the ordinary into something extraordinary. I care deeply about building communities, whether through storytelling, digital inclusivity, or creating platforms where voices are heard and ideas are amplified.
I’m also passionate about art and creative expression, from dance and writing to sketching and poetry, because I believe creativity is as vital to problem-solving as logic is. Most of all, I’m passionate about using everything I’ve learned (from code to culture) to spark conversations that inspire change and push us beyond the ordinary.
An idea worth spreading
“The Echoes We Leave Behind”
Long before voice recordings or digital archives, people measured presence through echoes. You shouted into a canyon, and the world shouted back; proof that your voice existed, that it reached further than your own breath. An echo wasn’t permanent, but it was undeniable, and it was something that always returned.
I think about this when it comes to ideas, actions, and conversations. Most of what we say or do isn’t permanent, but that doesn’t mean it’s meaningless. Our lives are filled with echoes, the laughter that lingers after we leave a room, the advice that resurfaces years later(it's funny how it's almost haunting), the story that continues to ripple long after the storyteller has gone, are all things that hit us long after they passed.
The real question is: what kind of echo do we want to leave behind? If permanence is impossible, maybe resonance is enough or at least its what we want to believe
The TED story
I’ve always been drawn to creativity, curiosity, and the little moments that make life meaningful. Over the years, through leading student organisations, curating events, and working on projects that bring people together, I’ve realised that ideas only matter when they’re shared, and that sharing them is as much about listening as it is about speaking.
My TEDx journey is about amplifying voices, nurturing curiosity, and finding the extraordinary in everyday experiences. I believe that small acts of empathy, collaboration, and connection can ripple far beyond what we imagine, and that even the simplest idea, when shared with care, has the power to inspire, transform, and reach people who need it most.
Things you might not know
People don’t always know that I excel at listening deeply, connecting ideas across different fields, and helping teams find their rhythm. I have a knack for bringing out the best in others, spotting potential where it’s hidden, and turning scattered thoughts into something cohesive and meaningful.
