My name is Sefa Keskin, and I am studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Erzurum Technical University. I am an active member of ETÜ KRİSTAL, where my teammates and I work on TÜBİTAK 2209 research projects and 1812 R&D projects. I am also part of the Tulpar Space and Aviation Club, taking part in technical trips, Journal Club events, and different organizational activities

I am especially motivated by helping young people discover their potential and follow their dreams through inspiring stories. In Erzurum, every step that expands students’ horizons and strengthens community spirit makes me even more committed to this goal.

Students need opportunities to hear from experienced business people, engineers, and entrepreneurs to learn from their journeys, discover their own potential, and set clear goals for the future. Although there is still a prejudice in western Turkey that Erzurum is “behind,” recent events such as the Winter Science Festival and KUDAKAF (Eastern Anatolia Career Fair) show that this perception is starting to change. A TEDx event can accelerate this change, helping students broaden their horizons while showcasing Erzurum’s dynamic and innovative side to the entire country

Living in Erzurum has taught me that ideas can grow even when resources are limited. However, truly inspiring and educational events are still quite new here. In recent years, events like the Winter Science Festival and KUDAKAF have shown that Erzurum is not behind, but full of people eager to learn and create. I believe that when students have more chances to hear from experienced entrepreneurs, engineers, and leaders, they can shape clear goals for their future and see new paths ahead. My passion is to help turn this potential into reality. I want TEDx in Erzurum to be a platform that breaks stereotypes, inspires young people, and makes them say, “I can do it too.” I believe that the right idea, shared at the right time and place, can change lives. People know me as a responsible, reliable, and solution-oriented person. I always try to complete every task I take on with quality and care, and I support my team members in any way I can. With these qualities, I am ready to help make TEDx in Erzurum not just an event, but a story of transformation
