Bio
Hi, I’m Samridhi Kapoor — a passionate believer in the power of ideas to inspire change, ignite conversation, and bring people together. As the Co-organiser of TEDxSVC, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to help build a platform where bold voices and unheard stories find the spotlight they deserve.
I’m currently pursuing my B.Com (Hons.) degree, but I’ve always found myself drawn to things beyond textbooks — storytelling, creativity, human connection, and the kind of ideas that linger long after they’re heard. TEDxSVC has been the perfect space for me to bring all these elements together. From curating speaker journeys and shaping the theme, to managing backstage chaos and creating meaningful audience experiences, every part of this process has been a lesson in collaboration, leadership, and purpose.
What drives me is the belief that anyone — regardless of where they come from — can spark change through a well-told idea. I’ve always wanted to be part of something bigger than myself, something that creates ripples. And with TEDxSVC, I’ve found exactly that.
Outside of TEDx, I’ve explored various intersections of communication and creativity — working on brand campaigns, interning with value-driven organisations, and diving into research and ideation projects. Whether it’s designing for impact, hosting discussions around social issues, or experimenting with storytelling formats, I’m constantly looking for ways to turn thought into action.
To me, TEDx isn’t just an event — it’s a movement. A movement that challenges conventions, celebrates diversity of thought, and reminds us that one voice, one story, one idea can make a difference. And I’m beyond proud to be part of a team that brings that vision to life.
I'm passionate about
I’m deeply passionate about music, stories, and the incredible power of communication. For me, music has always been more than sound — it’s a language of emotion, healing, and unspoken connection. Stories, on the other hand, are where I find meaning — whether they’re lived, written, or performed. I believe that stories hold the power to humanize, to bridge differences, and to spark empathy in ways facts alone never could. And at the heart of it all lies communication — not just speaking, but truly connecting. I’m fascinated by how words, voices, and expressions can move people, challenge perspectives, and create communities. Whether I’m on stage, writing something that matters, or simply listening deeply, I try to bring these passions into everything I do.
An idea worth spreading
Change doesn’t begin with grand gestures — it begins with people who’ve lived through storms and still choose to show up. I believe in creating space, support, and recognition for those who’ve overcome something — because they carry within them the quiet courage to inspire others, to lead by example, and to remind us that rising is just as powerful as arriving. My idea is to not just celebrate resilience, but to empower it — to turn survivors into storytellers, struggle into strength, and lived experience into lasting impact. That’s where real change begins.

The TED story
I joined TEDxSVC as a Finance Executive in my second year of college, expecting spreadsheets and budgets — but what I found was something far deeper. From the very beginning, I was mesmerised by how TEDx wasn’t just an event; it was a space that truly welcomed people and their stories. A space where vulnerability met vision, and where every voice — no matter how big or small — was treated with value.
Being behind the scenes, I got to witness the quiet magic that happens when people come together to build something meaningful. Over time, I moved beyond numbers and operations and found myself drawn to the heart of TEDx — the people, the passion, the purpose. Every story I heard, every idea I encountered, reminded me of why communication, empathy, and courage matter so much in the world we’re shaping.
TEDxSVC became more than just a college initiative for me. It became a place where I learned what leadership with empathy looks like, where I discovered my own voice, and where I realised how powerful it is to create platforms for others to share theirs.
Things you might not know
People don’t know I’m good at picking up on the unspoken — the silences between words, the emotions behind expressions, and the stories people don’t always say out loud. Whether it’s comforting someone with the right words or lifting a team’s spirit during chaos, I quietly tune into what people need — and try to offer it in a way that feels seen and real.
