I am a…
Educator/Teacher, Global soul
Bio
I am a Humanities and Global Perspectives Mentor with a deep passion for helping students find their voice, think critically, and engage meaningfully with the world around them through language, literature, and inquiry.
As a TEDx Speaker and an active volunteer with TEDxPanaji, where I contribute to the Project Management Team as an Executive, I have had the opportunity to work closely with ideas, people, and conversations that inspire change. My experience with TEDx has strengthened my belief in the power of storytelling, communication, and ideas worth sharing.
I am also actively involved with an NGO working in the field of mental health, contributing to awareness-building initiatives and efforts that encourage emotional well-being and stronger support systems.
Driven by a strong belief that education must go beyond academics, I have undertaken an initiative that brings Life Skills and 21st-Century Skills training to schools. Through these programmes, I work towards equipping students with essential skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, confidence, problem-solving, leadership, and emotional awareness.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: when young people are given the confidence to express themselves, the skills to think independently, and the space to be heard, they become better equipped to shape their own lives and the world around them.
I'm passionate about
I'm passionate about creating spaces—both in and outside the classroom—where young people feel seen, heard, and empowered. As an English educator, I believe in the transformative power of language to unlock not just academic success but emotional awareness and personal growth. I'm deeply committed to integrating empathy and expression into learning, using stories, conversations, and creative thinking to help students navigate their inner worlds. Through my involvement with mental health initiatives, I’ve seen how crucial it is to give young people the tools to articulate their feelings and build resilience. Whether I’m teaching, speaking, or working with communities, my passion lies in helping others find their voice and use it with purpose.

The TED story
As an educator, TED and TEDx Talks have always been a source of inspiration and motivation for me. They introduced me to the power of storytelling, the impact of ideas, and the courage it takes to speak with authenticity. This passion naturally found its way into my classroom, where I began introducing Talks to my learners and the wider school community. Watching people take the TEDx stage sparked a dream in me—to bring that same platform to my own school. I envisioned a space where learners, teachers, and every member of our school community could share their ideas worth spreading. Today, I’m on the path to fulfilling that dream by organizing a TEDx event that celebrates voices from within and inspires growth far beyond the walls of a classroom.
Things you might not know
People don’t know I’m good at creating calm in chaos—whether it’s defusing tension in a classroom, supporting someone through a mental health challenge, or bringing clarity to a complex idea. I have a quiet strength when it comes to listening deeply and responding with empathy. I’m also good at weaving together seemingly unrelated things—like literature and life skills, or mental health and education—into meaningful experiences that resonate with people. It’s not always loud or obvious, but it makes a lasting impact.
