Marinda Johnson Sessoms is a distinguished television producer best known for her work with PBS, where she has been instrumental in producing some of the network's most impactful and critically acclaimed programs. Throughout her career, Sessoms has contributed to the creation of both educational and cultural content, focusing on programs that highlight diversity, history, and social issues. Marinda Johnson Sessoms has been a Television and Arts Producer for over 18 years. She has won numerous awards, including 3 Regional Emmy Awards and 14 Emmy nominations. 2010 Sacramento Observer Black Expo 30 under 30 Outstanding Young leaders Honoree, 2015 Alliance for Women in Media Examples of Excellence-Creative Talent,The Sacramento Bee’s 2023 Top 25 Black Change Maker. Through her production company JUST TRIND Productions, Marinda takes the privilege of being able to create content that not only entertains but informs the public. She believes the art of storytelling is a vital resource in creating awareness, change and have an impact which can also give those that may not have a voice a platform to share their stories and discover their purpose.
