Bio
Accomplished educator, storyteller, and creative force, I bring 17+ years of experience leading educational innovation and human-centric learning across India and the UAE. My journey from landing in Dubai with just 50 AED to becoming Head of the English Department at Amity School Dubai-is a story of resilience, courage, and transformation. Beyond academics, I am a trained dancer, voice-over artist, model, and aspiring podcaster. These identities fuel my approach to teaching and leadership, making education expressive, empowering, and deeply personal. I am passionate about helping students find their voice, just as I found mine through art, hardship, and the unwavering belief that we rise strongest from our toughest trials.
I'm passionate about
I'm passionate about integrating creativity and resilience into education. I believe in holistic learning that celebrates both intellect and identity. My love for dance, performance, and storytelling allows me to bring energy and depth to the classroom, while my pursuit of podcasting and voice work reflects my commitment to lifelong growth. I’m driven to create spaces where students are seen, heard, and inspired to tell stories that matter.
An idea worth spreading
Voices of Strength: Empowering Change Through Student Storytelling
In today’s fast-moving world, students are more than just learners. They are thinkers, leaders, and changemakers in the making. Yet, too often, their most powerful asset—their voice—goes unheard. My idea is to create platforms within schools that don’t just teach students to speak, but to own their narratives, embrace their identities, and lead with empathy and purpose.
TEDx isn’t just a stage; it is a catalyst for transformation. Through storytelling, students tap into their lived experiences, reflect on adversity, and reframe their struggles as strength. When students are given permission to be vulnerable, to share their truth, and to dream out loud, they become more than articulate speakers. They become empowered individuals ready to shape the world.
This belief is deeply personal. My own journey, from arriving in a foreign land with only 50 AED to now leading a department in one of Dubai’s reputed schools, has shown me that identity is not fixed. It is forged through resilience. I have lived and living many lives: an educator, a dancer, a voice-over artist, a model, a daughter navigating grief, and now a mentor igniting student potential. These identities did not hold me back. They empowered me. And I want every student to feel the same liberation.
TEDx at school can be a revolution. It is where ideas meet identity and where every voice, no matter how quiet, has the power to inspire change. When students find the courage to speak, the world does not just listen—it transforms.
Things you might not know
Many don’t know that I’m a trained dancer, a professional voice-over artist, and a model who’s recently begun exploring podcasting. These passions allow me to connect with students beyond the curriculum—teaching them self-expression, confidence, and storytelling. I use these skills to infuse creativity into teaching, facilitate engaging workshops, and bring ideas to life in ways that captivate and inspire.
