Bio
Dr. Silke Gegenbauer is a user experience expert with a focus on educational software and digital health technologies.
She holds degrees in Engineering Management and Computer Science, and earned her doctorate at the University of Duisburg-Essen with a focus on gait analysis in post-stroke patients. Her doctoral research introduced a novel, mobile method for analyzing gait using inertial measurement units, aiming to support collaborative, interdisciplinary therapy planning through intuitive software tools.
Dr. Gegenbauer combines academic and industry experience, including roles in software development and research institutions in Switzerland and Germany.
Today, she brings her technical expertise and research-driven mindset into the development of educational applications to support children in their early school years taking into account their neurological development.
She lives in Berlin, where she enjoys literature, traveling, and the meditative craft of knitting in her free time.
