The TED story
Growing up between rural Malaysia and Australia, Nathaniel was the first in his family to access education, carrying immense pressure to succeed. At 15, he attempted suicide, but surviving that experience fuelled their mission.
At 16, Nathaniel founded Future Minds Network, to empower marginalised youth like him, giving them skills and confidence to navigate and shape tomorrow's job market.
Since then, the organisation has empowered 13,000 young people across the Asia Pacific, helping them build social enterprises, connect with mentors, and access income-generating opportunities. Their work has spread across 22 countries - on international stages, TV, and even in the Royal Palace.
