Jason Rissman is the Co-Founder / CEO of Starlings, an entertainment company that fosters wellness, community, connection to nature and climate action amidst today's ecological crises. Jason brings over 20 years of experience in climate, innovation, movement building and media. While at Google, Jason helped launch the company's $1B+ mobile advertising business, as well as tech-for-good investments related to renewable energy, deforestation, home energy management and crisis response. At the global design and innovation firm IDEO, Jason oversaw the company's open innovation practice, including accelerator programs and startup competitions that supported hundreds of entrepreneurial ventures. He served as Chief Experience Officer at NationSwell, where he convened Chief Sustainability Officers and other corporate and philanthropic leaders. He is the founder and host of the Invested in Climate podcast and has led innovation sessions at the World Economic Forum, Clinton Global Initiative, GreenBiz and several other global convenings. He is an early-stage investor and advisor, a systems-thinker, tennis and ping pong player, and former Chicago-style hotdog stand operator.
