As a member of the TEDxGIKI hosting society, I contributed to the event’s creative vision by designing posters and digital content. For the first time in my life, I attended a TEDx session—TEDxGIKI—held at my university. But I wasn’t just an attendee; I was part of the hosting society that brought the event to life. Leading up to it, I designed posters and Instagram posts, helping shape its digital presence. On the event day, dressed in a suit and ready to enjoy the talks, I was unexpectedly assigned a high-stakes task—to manage the screen behind the speakers. With no room for error, I had to figure out how to use the extended display on the spot, all while feeling the pressure of keeping everything seamless. Midway through, I was asked to redesign the background to include the speaker’s name. With no prior preparation, I quickly edited the visuals on my own laptop, updated the slides, and ensured smooth transitions—all while listening to the inspiring talks on stage. In the end, I unknowingly lived the TEDx theme: Learn to Unlearn. What started as a simple attendance turned into an unforgettable experience of adaptability, quick learning, and problem-solving under pressure.
