About Ayar
Bio
I’ve had the privilege of producing short films and documentaries, collaborating with leading media platforms like AppleTV, Netflix, and HBO. My projects have received critical acclaim, including Emmy and BAFTA nominations, as well as recognition on a local level.
Some of the impactful works I’ve contributed to include documentaries and films such as 'WOMEN,' 'Sisters in Arms,' 'Hell on Earth,' 'The Line,' and 'The Crossing.' I strive to capture compelling narratives through versatile storytelling. My work for platforms like BuzzFeed News, Vice News, BBC, and PBS, even through phone videography, reflects my dedication to adaptability and creativity in various styles.
I’ve also had the honor of collaborating with prominent figures and organizations. Whether it’s the work I’ve done in the UAE, the World Government Summit, or with NGOs like Amnesty International, Solidarites, Prosperity Catalyst, and DRC, I remain committed to addressing social and environmental issues.
In 2019, I co-founded a production house called 'grei.' This venture has enabled me to expand distribution networks for my films and deepen my creative journey. With 'grei,' I aim to establish a leading communications and production agency in Iraq, known for its unique and impactful storytelling.
