Born into the family of Dr. Shettima Ali and Hajja Falmata Shettima Ali, I was raised with strong values of service, excellence, and leadership. My educational journey began at Alau Private School, where I laid the foundation for my academic and extracurricular pursuits. During my primary school years, I discovered my passion for public speaking and became an active member of the debate club, earning recognition as one of the best presenters. My hard work paid off when I excelled in my common entrance examination, emerging as the best student in Borno State. At Maiduguri Capital School, where I completed my secondary education, I continued to thrive. I was deeply involved in various clubs, including debate, drama, JETS, and Islamic societies, and consistently excelled in competitions both within and outside the state. In my senior years, I was honored to serve as the head girl of the school, a role that nurtured my leadership skills. Upon graduation, I was recognized as the best disciplined student of the year. Fueled by my passion for healthcare, I pursued a degree in Dental Surgery and completed my compulsory one-year housemanship at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. Driven by a desire to impact underserved communities, I embarked on postgraduate training as a Community Dental Specialist, where I am currently honing my skills to improve access to oral health care. Beyond my professional career, I am an entrepreneur and the founder of XARAH’S PERFUMES/SCENTS, a business that reflects my creative and innovative spirit. I am also a dedicated wife and mother, balancing family life with my professional and entrepreneurial endeavors.

I am deeply committed to helping the less privileged, organizing health outreaches, and bridging the gap in healthcare access. Through my work, I strive to create a meaningful impact on the lives of those in underserved communities.

I believe in the transformative power of giving back to communities. By reaching out to the underserved and providing resources, care, and opportunities, we can inspire change and create a ripple effect of positive impact.

My love for TED began when a friend introduced me to the platform. Since then, I have been captivated by its ability to amplify voices and ideas that inspire change. I dream of sharing my own story on a TEDx stage to encourage others to act with purpose and compassion.

I excel at multitasking, thrive under pressure, and always give my best in everything I do. These qualities fuel my ability to balance multiple roles and contribute meaningfully to every endeavor I undertake. In all I do, I aim to inspire others to embrace service, leadership, and a commitment to uplifting the communities around them.
