An idea worth spreading
"The Power of a Spark: Igniting Change Through Small Beginnings" Every transformational journey begins with a spark. A seemingly small idea, moment, or action that holds the potential to ignite extraordinary change. The world’s most significant innovations, movements, and revolutions were sparked by individuals who dared to act on an idea, even when the odds were against them. This idea explores the profound impact of embracing and nurturing the sparks within us. Our ideas, passions, and inspirations, and how they can lead to remarkable transformations in our lives, communities, and the world. A spark is not just an action; it’s a mindset. It’s the belief that even the smallest effort can create ripples of impact. It’s about recognizing the potential of beginnings, whether that’s a student choosing to learn a new skill, a community coming together to solve a local problem, or an entrepreneur building a solution to address a need. This theme encourages individuals to see beyond limitations, embrace curiosity, and act with intention, no matter how small the step may seem. In the context of TEDxEkiti, “SPARK” becomes a lens through which we explore diverse stories: A spark of creativity that leads to groundbreaking innovation. A spark of resilience that overcomes challenges and inspires others. A spark of collaboration that unites people to achieve the unimaginable. A spark of kindness that transforms a life and inspires a movement. The idea also delves into the universal truth that every person has the potential to spark change. It challenges us to reflect on our own journeys: What are the sparks we’ve ignored or underestimated? How can we nurture and amplify them? And how can we, as a society, create environments where these sparks are celebrated and transformed into flames of progress? Through the theme “SPARK,” TEDxEkiti seeks to ignite conversations, celebrate untold stories, and inspire action. It’s a call to uncover the hidden potential in ourselves and others, and to recognize that every spark no matter how small has the power to illuminate, innovate, and transform our world.

The TED story
My journey to TED began with a simple yet profound belief: that every individual, no matter their background, has the potential to spark meaningful change. Growing up, I always saw the world through the lens of possibility believing that small actions, when nurtured, could create ripples of transformation. This belief ignited my passion for advocating digital inclusion, championing children’s rights, and pioneering entrepreneurial ventures that aim to bridge gaps and uplift underserved communities. The idea of sharing "Ideas Worth Spreading" resonated deeply with me. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful ideas can change lives. As the founder of Flaury and Shama, I’ve had the privilege of building platforms that serve real-world needs—connecting people to beauty services and spiritual content in ways that spark growth and inspire action. Along the way, I’ve learned that innovation isn’t just about technology or big ideas; it’s about the people we serve and the changes we help them make in their lives. Through my work in children’s rights advocacy and support for vulnerable groups, including those in correctional facilities, I’ve come to understand the transformative power of empowerment. Empowerment is the spark that fuels change, and by helping others see their own potential, we can create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. The TED stage represents the pinnacle of this journey. A place where ideas that can change the world are amplified. For me, it’s not just about sharing my own story, but creating a platform where the voices and stories of others who have sparked change can be heard. TED is a place where possibilities are reimagined, where collaboration transcends boundaries, and where diverse voices come together to shape the future. My TED story is one of connection. Connecting people to ideas, resources, and opportunities that empower them to act. It’s about helping individuals and communities recognize their own potential to ignite change, no matter how small that spark may seem at first. I’m honored to share this journey with the TEDxEkiti community and beyond, knowing that together, we can create the sparks that lead to lasting, transformative impact.
