Bio

For nearly 25 years, Philip has been helping companies and organizations create more effective, engaging products, services and offerings by finding the opportunities unleashed by technological and cultural change. Prior to Proto, he was VP of Business Transformation at R/GA’s consulting unit, where he and his team have developed enterprise and product strategies for clients such as SiriusXM, Walmart, J&J, Samsung, Cox Automotive, Newell, and the Campbell Soup Company among many others. In other roles at R/GA, Philip has led strategy and planning teams for a diverse group of clients including Google, E*TRADE, PwC, Volvo, and Samsung. Before joining R/GA, he worked with numerous leading companies to launch pioneering digital products, services, and marketing efforts. These collaborations included helping Diageo better support its distribution partners, Discover maintain CX excellence, NARS Cosmetics launch direct to consumer eCommerce, and Consumer Reports adapt its digital offerings in an evolving media landscape. He started his career working with pioneering visual and performance artists Laurie Anderson, Jaron Lanier, and Cyndi Lauper on multi—media efforts. Philip’s interests in the intersection of technology, culture, and commerce began while pursuing his BA in Communications at the Annenberg School at the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, children, a whole lot of media, countless connected devices, and a single disconnected yet unhinged dachshund.
