Michael Ashford

I am the host of Rethinking Communication, a podcast where I explore how we better communicate in ways school never taught us. I'm a marketer, a former award-winning journalist, a two-time TEDx speaker, and a speaking and communication coach, and my work across various platforms has been featured in publications like Men's Health Magazine and Podcast Magazine.

I envision a world where human hearts are more reachable through curious conversations, where more of us are able to articulate what we stand for rather than what we are against, and where disagreements help us understand each other better by allowing space for dialogue, listening, and change. I don’t believe we are as divided as we appear to be on many issues. But we are fighting against forces that benefit when we are at odds with each other on top of the fact that our education system failed most of us when it comes to understanding how to communicate well.
