Female Ugandan Teacher. Has taught the International and local curriculums of Education. Has experience of 20 years in Educating the youth to become responsible members of their community.
Very passionate about developing students' public speaking and communication skills to explore, engage and support community growth.
I have an award as the Global Coach of the year in Debate. Excited to be a TEDx Organiser in my country. I see TEDx as a platform for me and the students to share Ideas that are worth spreading in a bid to serve the community.
I'm passionate about
Nurturing students into becoming better public speakers. Communication is a tool that is often used to impact on communities. As an English Language teacher, teaching and developing students' communication skills has always been my niche'.
Serving and empowering the students to be kind, caring and loving others is a tool that I use to help them grow into responsible citizens.
An idea worth spreading
An Idea worth spreading should have Ethos, Logos and Pathos. It should add value to the community, preach love and unity and engage/captivity the attention of the audience to reflect upon what is being talked about.
The Idea should be original, well researched, have empirical data and cause the audience to learn and change for the better. Some of the topics from my students that caught my attention were: Boredom isn't Boredom,Cyber bulling, The power of the Tongue and Breaking Barriers.

The TED story
My TED story is that it is every one's responsibility to use their latent skills to grow and support others to feel confident. It doesn't matter how many times you fall, but what matters is how you are able to overcome the challenge.
Human beings need to create a value system that teaches others to manage diversity at all levels, respect others and create an environment that is safe for all to thrive in.
I have yielded a lot from the challenges and troubles of life that I have been through. Sharing my experiences of life is a tool, I have used to empower others not to despair. Doing good to feel good is a principle that keeps me going, whenever it comes to serving and empowering others. Such a life is more satisfying than chasing the mirage.
