I am Hassan, a law student at Northwest University, Kano, and the Licensee of TEDxCikinGari, our city's first independently organized TEDx event. Alongside law school, I write poetry and short fiction, and I'm currently building toward a documentary and a startup ( CarbonX - for African carbon credit market ) over the next couple of months. Organizing TEDxCikinGari has been a chance to bring people who are actually building things in Kano, in tech, journalism, education, and grassroots work, onto one stage to share ideas that matter beyond our city.
